ECORESET participated in the WEEE-NET9.SPEED event at the MONOLITHOS facilities in Athens on 27 November 2025.
WEEE-NET9.SPEED is an EIT Raw Materials project that promotes networking and knowledge exchange in WEEE management in Eastern and Southeastern Europe with an emphasis on machine-learning applications and hydrometallurgical processes.
ECORESET’s General Manager Dr. Spyridon-Dionysios Karamoutsos presented the research project NEO-CYCLE (Neo-Cycle), in which ECORESET participates as industrial partner. The main target of the project, is the upcycling od Nd and B, Critical Raw Materials, coming from HDD permanent magnets, in pharmaceutical, chemical and agricultural applications. During the presentation titled «Digitalization and Circularity in WEEE Management — A Case Study on the Recovery of Nd and B from Spent Magnets», apart from the NEO-CYCLE project, the challenges of compliant WEEE management were discussed. We thank Monolithos for the organization of the event and the esteemed participants for the vibrant discussions.
